As the Marketing and Communication Director for VocalEssence, Malia is responsible for developing and managing the Marketing and Public Relations plans. Prior to joining VocalEssence, she worked for Children’s Theatre Company, Mixed Blood Theatre, Ordway and The Minnesota Opera. She is also Founding Director of the Blue Lake Dance Project, a nonprofit organization offering after-school dance classes to under-privileged youth in the Twin Cities.

Malia received her BFA in Theatre from the University of Minnesota (Duluth) and her MA in Arts Management from St. Mary’s University (Minneapolis).
