Sonja Tengblad, soprano

Soprano Sonja Tengblad is a performer and educator based in the Twin Cities. A graduate of St. Olaf College, Sonja teaches choir and private voice at Wayzata High School. In recent years, she sang in the VocalEssence Ensemble Singers (2006-2008), as a soloist at Plymouth Congregational Church with Philip Brunelle, the Stuttgart Choral and Orchestral Festival with Helmuth Rilling, and was a soloist at the 2008 American Guild of Organists National Convention. Currently, she is the soprano soloist at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with director Matthew Culloton, and performs periodically with Conspirare, an ensemble directed by Craig Hella Johnson based in Austin, Texas. She is frequently featured with the Rochester Aria Group through her teacher, George Smith.
