As Communications Manager for VocalEssence, Katryn Conlin produces most of the printed materials that support concert marketing and production, including advertising, direct mail, concert programs and signage. She also contributes to the organization’s website design and writing needs.

Prior to joining VocalEssence in 1996, Katryn had a wide variety of life experiences, including a year on the art department staff of Saturday Review magazine in New York City, 2 years living in the U.S. Virgin Islands, and 10 summers working in Glacier National Park, MT as a communications specialist. A self taught graphic artist, she runs her own company, Dakota Street Design, from her home in Red Wing, MN. She also finds time to play upright bass in a bluegrass band, Long Time Gone.

Katryn majored in Medieval History and studied French and English Literature at Carleton College, graduating magna cum laude in 1978.
