VocalEssence and Twenty Marimbas will fill the Cathedral of Saint Paul for “Mallets & Melodies”

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (January 15, 2010) – The VocalEssence Chorus & Ensemble Singers join forces with twenty marimbas to perform Gabrieli’s Magnificat á33—a stunning work with 33 individual melodic voices, spread throughout the glorious acoustic of the Cathedral of Saint Paul. Entitled Mallets & Melodies, this event, performed in conjunction with the Marimba 2010 Festival & Convention, takes place on Friday, April 30, 2010 at 8 pm.

Auditions to be held for the 2010-2011 VocalEssence Chorus & Ensemble Singers

Minneapolis, Minn. (March 5, 2010) – VocalEssence, the award-winning choral ensemble based in Minneapolis, announces singer auditions for the 2010-2011 concert season. Openings are available in all voice parts for the 100-voice volunteer VocalEssence Chorus and the 32-voice professional VocalEssence Ensemble Singers.
