Teacher Orientation Seminar - October 15, 2011, 8:00am - 12:30pm

This year’s WTINESS Teacher Orientation Seminar is scheduled for Saturday, October 15, 2011 from 8am-12:30pm at Plymouth Congregational Church in Minneapolis. The cost of the seminar is $20, which includes three clock hours of professional development credit and a copy of the WITNESS Teachers Guide and Companion CD.

All teachers at participating WITNESS Partner Schools are required to attend a half-day WITNESS Teacher Orientation seminar, which includes a special presentation by composer Hannibal Lokumbe, the opportunity to engage with WITNESS Teaching Artists, an introduction to the VocalEssence WITNESS School Program, an overview of the WITNESS Teacher Resource Guide and strategies on incorporating WITNESS materials into school curriculum.

WITNESS Teacher Resource Guide and companion CD

The WITNESS Teacher Resource Guide complements the WITNESS School Program, with activities and lessons built around the theme of the WITNESS concert.
