Teacher Orientation Seminar

This year’s WITNESS Teacher Orientation Seminar is scheduled for Saturday, September 29, 2012 from 8am-12:30pm at Plymouth Congregational Church in Minneapolis. The cost of the seminar is $20, which includes three or more clock hours of professional development credit and a copy of the WITNESS Teacher Resource Guide and Companion CD.

All participating WITNESS Partner Schools are required to send at least one representative to attend this half-day WITNESS Teacher Orientation seminar, which includes a special performance by Marlissa Hudson, starring as Marian Anderson, the opportunity to engage with WITNESS Teaching Artists, an introduction to the VocalEssence WITNESS School Program, an overview of the WITNESS Teacher Resource Guide and strategies on incorporating WITNESS materials into school curriculum.

WITNESS Teacher Resource Guide and companion CD

The WITNESS Teacher Resource Guide complements the WITNESS School Program, with activities and lessons built around the theme of the WITNESS concert.
