WITNESS Partner Schools

Students served through the years:
  • 110,000+ students have participated in the WITNESS School Program since its inception
  • 3,500+ students in public, private and parochial schools in the Twin Cities metro area and beyond participate in WITNESS Artist Workshops and Residencies annually
  • 7,000+ students plus 500 teachers and chaperones attend WITNESS Young People's Concerts each year
In 2006-2007, Partner Schools included:
  • 13 in St. Paul, 15 suburban, 20 in Minneapolis and 2 outside the metropolitan area.
  • 39 public/charter, 7 private and 3 alternative schools,
  • 27 schools had more than 40% of the student body eligible for free or reduced lunch; more than 50% of the student body was non-Caucasian in 29 schools.
  • 6 schools for non-traditional students, one specifically devoted to African American youth, a correctional facility, alternative schools and a virtual schools
