Hear our community come together as more than 500 students join VocalEssence to celebrate Mexico through song. Prominent Mexican composers work as composers-in-residence with school choirs, community choruses, and VocalEssence to bring the sounds of Mexico to Minnesota. In 2016-2017, students met with acclaimed composers Rodrigo Cadet (for elementary students) and Samuel Pascoe (for high school students) over three visits, for a total of four weeks between October and May, to collaborate and compose new choral pieces; the final works premiered at the Ordway Concert Hall in Saint Paul, MN on Tuesday, May 2, 2017.
