• VocalEssence has hosted the Urban Choir Festival annually since 2019.
• Historically, the Urban Choir Festival has been part of the American Choral Directors’ Association of Minnesota (ACDA-MN) State Conference.
• Participants come from close to twenty schools around the Twin Cities with the focus placed on Minneapolis and St. Paul Public School students.
• Guest Artist(s) are selected each year to share music and culture from a variety of genres and traditions.
• This is the first year that the Festival Concert performance will be performed in St. Paul.
