Cassandra joined the VocalEssence staff in September 2026. As the administrative assistant, she provides direct support to VocalEssence leadership, facilitating the success of the artistic and administrative goals of the organization. 

In addition to her position at VocalEssence, Cassandra is an active bassoonist based in the Twin Cities metro. She especially enjoys performing chamber music and new music, and has participated in a number of consortiums featuring the bassoon. She can be found performing in a variety of settings, but most often performs with LADYBAND Minneapolis, a feminocentric chamber wind ensemble which aims to uplift female voices in classical music. Cassandra is also a faculty member at the MacPhail Center for Music, where she teaches bassoon students of all ages and skill levels. She holds performance degrees from the University of Georgia and the University of North Texas. 

You can find Cassandra enjoying her spare time with a science fiction novel, moshing at a local punk show, or hanging out with her beloved Siamese cat, Violet.
