Eleanor Daley

The award-winning Canadian composer Eleanor Daley was born and raised in Parry Sound, Ontario. She studied organ and piano at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, the Royal Conservatory of Music, Toronto, and Trinity College, England. In addition to composing, Daley serves as Director of Music at Fairlawn Avenue United Church in Toronto, a position she has held since 1982, as well as a clinician and collaborative pianist for many different ensembles. She is commissioned extensively throughout North America and her music is performed around the world. With over one hundred and fifty published choral works, Daley crafts lyrical, moving melodies that meaningfully connect with the texts she chooses.
